Tropi-dry will be participating in the upcoming synthesis meeting of the IAI CRN program in Buenos Aires, Argentina (August 14-18).

Tropi-Dry Costa Rica continues collaboration with the Costa Rica National Forest Financing Fund on the development of new approaches for mapping the extent of tropical dry forests in Costa Rica.
Mr. Milton Barbosa, a Tropi-Dry graduate student at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, has been awarded a prestigious Canadian Emerging Leaders of the Americas Fellowship. Mr. Barbosa will conduct his fellowship at the University of Alberta Centre for Earth Observation Sciences.
Two Brazilian students have received funding from CAPES Brazil to conduct a sandwich Ph.D. program at the University of Alberta as well a post-doctoral fellowship at the same university.
